in the presence of
LOVE
benefits
Through our practice, we learn to release worries and hurts into The Presence of Love, trusting an intelligence and wisdom greater than our own to hold and take care of what we have released. This allows us to return our attention to Love, creating greater peace, freedom and space within ourselves.
As the practice deepens, it opens us to a more unified way of being — changing how we experience ourselves, one another and life as a whole.
Through the continual practice of remembering, releasing and returning to Love through the heart, we cultivate deeper ways of knowing and relating to ourselves and to life. The practice can support us to liberate an inexhaustible well of peace, freedom and joy that is already within us, and deepen our understanding of who we are as beloved creatures of the universe and what our identity is.
It becomes an education in self and in the mystery of ultimate reality.
Through repeated practice, we exercise the “muscle” of letting go and returning. Over time, this can support a shift in how we perceive and respond to our experience: from separation towards connection, from constriction towards openness, and towards perceiving the whole as a single, unified field.
At its deepest level, the practice is an invitation into non-separation,
a unitive consciousness in which Love becomes the ground from which we experience ourselves, one another and life.
HEART presence
By placing our attention into the heart, we move towards greater coherence and harmony, supporting our capacity to regulate our emotions, respond rather than react, and experience greater presence, connection and Love.
Research shows continuous communication between the heart and brain, while HeartMath research associates positive emotions such as love, care and appreciation with more coherent heart-rhythm patterns. Independent contemplative research has also found loving-kindness to be experienced with love, warmth and sensations around the heart.
REMEMBERing
When we remember thePresence of Love, we turn our attention simultaneously towards ourselves as beings of Love and towards something greater than ourselves — Love as an eternal principle of life — deepening our relationship with ourselves and with the world around us.
Research across related faith-based and secular contemplative practices points to a shared range of benefits, including a greater sense of safety, connection, compassion, meaning and wellbeing, alongside reduced stress, anxiety and self-focus.
RELEASing
When we practise releasing our daily concerns, hurts and worries into the Presence of Love, we strengthen our capacity to release in everyday life, rather than repeatedly holding onto and rehearsing what troubles us.
Research into related practices associates this with less rumination, stress, anxiety and anger, and greater psychological wellbeing.
Through repetition, we exercise the “muscle” of letting go — learning to release our thoughts and concerns more promptly and gently into the Presence of Love.
RETURNing
When we practise returning to the Presence of Love within our heart, we create an anchor, a homecoming and a direction — a place to come back to whenever we notice we have wandered.
Through repeated practice, we strengthen our capacity to return to heart presence and Love in everyday life. Research into related practices associates this with greater attention, emotional regulation, positive emotion, compassion and connection.
Spiritually, we understand this return as opening ourselves to be channels of Divine Love.
Every wandering therefore becomes another opportunity to return — strengthening our capacity to orient ourselves again and again towards Love.
Donate to support our launch
We're in Phase 1 — Foundations. Building everything In the Presence of Love needs to grow: governance, communications, volunteer and Wisdom Circle recruitment. Every donation brings Phase 2 — Launch closer, when the full programme begins: more weekly drop-ins, and our first Immersion Days. Alongside this, we're actively fundraising to ensure that we can grow on solid foundations for years to come.
The weekly Tuesday sessions are already running and always free. Your donation is what makes that possible.
